Some time ago, I received a short message on mobile phone with the words harsh. Although only limited words in written form, but the impact hurt my feelings enough. And this makes me think of "verbal abuse".
As parents, we sometimes fail to keep our word. We forget that violence against children not only physically, but rough and dirty words that came out of and they will affect the course of his life, even able to destroy it. Harsh words and bad is usually much more powerful stored in the memory of our children. No wonder they can easily talk rough and reckless to others.
Children learn from the experience. When he grew up with praise, he will grow into a confident person. If you grew up with insults, he will grow into someone who likes to scold people. If you grew up with a thank-you, he will grow into someone who understands the meaning of gratitude. If you grew up with taunts, he will grow into children who do not believe in themselves.
How much vulgarity that we might have accidentally cast to our children? Maybe it's just a joke, but they will keep it for a time issued to others, perhaps even ruder!
It's not an easy thing to be able to see the mistakes myself, let alone in front of children. But we are models of their model. Realizing the mistake and fix it is not a disgrace.
Community learning in Kumon is not just limited to the children, but also for teachers and parents. Through the learning process of children, either Math’s or English, we can learn to form good character in them. Give sincere praise and support in every step of progress. If each of us really tried to do for our children, surely we can make a big change for world peace. And do not forget it still be accompanied by prayer.
