As children grow out of their little pants and are ready to begin their youth, many parents wonder if it with the homeschooling program should be continued. They fear that colleges can not give equal opportunities to inform a child at home.
Many uncertainties of this kind were put to rest when 2 homeschooled boys got permit into Harvard. Harvard does not require a high school diploma for obtaining admission to their studies. Many colleges are more interested in teaching the knowledge and behavior of children at home, rather than their high school diplomas. In fact, if anything similar many colleges prefer homeschoolers because of the diversity and richness they bring to their college life.
Admission requirements vary. While some colleges require that the child will appear for the SAT, others need a general equivalency diploma. And some of it may be matter for all tests at all. The criterion can depend on the university that you want to use. But, college courses really do not need a high school background or special training.
It is common for more than parents who are desperately trying to relocate their homeschool children to high schools because they fear non-availability of admission to college. But college admissions are open to all educated persons, irrespective of whether they taught at home or at a public school
